Construction Surveys
Our team can provide various surveys to guide you in the construction of your project. Whether it's a small addition, new house or a new high rise we’re centrally located in Vancouver to be able to provide you with a quick turn around.
Specific types of construction surveys:
Excavation Layout and Site Benchmark
This construction survey provides a perimeter for an excavation that gives you enough room to comfortably construct your building’s foundation in the correct location. A site benchmark gives you a reference for the depth of the excavation and height of the foundation.
Foundation Layout
Foundation layouts provide survey points in the ground to guarantee the precise size, shape and location of a building’s foundation. This type of survey is the best way to be ensure that your foundation conforms to your permitted and approved set of drawings. We can tailor a foundation layout to suit your specific project’s needs.
Non-Encroachment Certificate (NEC)
NECs, sometimes called a concrete or form surveys, show the constructed location and elevations of the foundation or forms which are required to agree with the approved set of plans. For most municipalities in the Lower Mainland a NEC is a requirement with new construction or substantial additions.
Grid Line Layout
Grid lines are design drawing linework that are used to reference various parts of a structure during construction. Typically grid lines are used in medium to large scale concrete projects and can be also seen on complex houses. With highly experienced and trained staff we can help provide on the ground clarity in these complex construction challenges
Pile/Micropile Layout
As development and densification continues an increasing number of sites have less than ideal ground conditions. Because of poor ground conditions, piling and micropiling are becoming more common. We can provide precise location layout that can help satisfy your site’s complex geotechnical needs.
